Joint Planning Commission Vacancy
The Borough of Avalon currently has (1) vacancy on the Joint Planning Commission. The Borough Council is accepting letters of interest from qualified Avalon residents to serve a three (3) year term that will end December 31, 2027. Interested candidates should submit a completed vacancy application along with a letter of interest and current resume to the Borough Manager via email, mail, or personal delivery to the Avalon Borough Building, 640 California Avenue, Avalon, PA 15202 on or before 4:00 pm, Monday, August 12, 2024.

Part-Time Seasonal DPW Employment
Applications are currently being accepted by the Borough Council for part time seasonal public works employees. These employees perform a variety of work associated with the maintenance, repair, and construction of DPW assets. The seasonal employees report to the Public Works Superintendent. Workers operate a variety of equipment, which may include hand tools, power tools, light equipment, riding lawn mower, push lawn mower, trimmers, and pick up truck. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
